One gets a chance to peek into the lives of local communities. The region is dominated by natural beauty, centuries old learning and spiritual centres, Tea and the Lush green tea gardens - the drinks that is famous among the rich and poor and of international repute and many tribes forming the community of these hilly states of Indian region. The region boasts of the best trekking routes and mountaineering, wildlife including the one horned Rhino - an endangered species and some other world heritage sites.

Tour Highlights

Explore the temples, monasteries and tea gardens of Darjeeling.
Visit to Phurchachu hot springs, Namgyal Institute and other prominent monasteries.
Visit and explore various important Gompas, Flower Nurseries, Sericulture research Institutes and nature interpretation centre.

Day 1 - Arrival/Bagdogra/Darjeeling

Assistance on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and drive 3 hrs, (approximately 90 kms) to Darjeeling. On arrival at Darjeeling, check into the hotel. If time permits explore the surroundings. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 - Darjeeling

Early morning visit Tiger Hill and Ghoom Monastery. Return to the hotel for breakfast and later proceed for city tour visiting Observatory hill, Temples, gompas, Sanchal Lake, tea Gardens and natural history museum. Later in the evening stroll on the streets to explore the bazaars of Darjeeling. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 - Darjeeilng/Tashidang/Yuksum

Breakfast at the hotel and drive 4 hrs (120 kms) to Yuksum en route visiting Tashiding. On arrival at Yuksum, the old capital of Sikkim, you will check into your hotel. After lunch proceed for city sightseeing of Yuksum. It is the base camp for mountaineering to the Himalayan region. You can also enter Khangdongza national Park for here as it the entry point. Dinner around the campfire. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 - Yuksum/Pelling

Breakfast at the hotel and drive 3 to 4 hrs to Pelling. On arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon walking excursion to Sango-Choling monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 - Pelling/Gangtok

Breakfast at the hotel and drive 5 hrs (118 kms) to Gangtok en route visiting Pemayangste Monastery. Spend the evening at leisure or explore the town on your own.Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 - Gangtok

Breakfast at the hotel and full day city tour of Gangtok including excursion to Rumtek Monastery. During the sightseeing we will visit Phurchachu hot springs, Namgyal Institute and other prominent monasteries. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 - Gangtok

Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to Tsongu Lake and Nathu La Pass on the Indo China border. This is the trading point between the two contries. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8 - Gangtok/Kalimpong

After breakfast at the hotel and drive 3 hrs (85 kms) Kalimpong. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon city tour of Kalimpong visiting various important Gompas, Flower Nurseries, Sericulture research Institutes and nature interpretation centre. Overnight at hotel.
