While on the tour, you will be visit the harbour city of Cochin passing through the serene backwaters of Kerala. The highlight of the tour will be the backwater cruise at Kumarakom with meals being served under the open sky. The tour will end on the sandy beaches of Kovalam where you can stroll on the sandy beaches or opt for some ayurvedic massages at the resort. Kerala, also known as “God’s own country” is on the “must see places in a lifetime” by prominent travel magazine National Geographic.

Day 1 - ARRIVE / COCHIN

You will be met on arrival at Cochin International Airport and transferred to your hotel.
Cochin was earlier known as Kochi. It is surrounded by the Western Ghats on the east and Arabian Sea in the west. It has one of the important ports and an international airport. Like many other cities of India, Cochin too was ruled by many ruler and empires. The Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British and the Portuguese ruled here from time to time. As a result, Cochin prospered and emerged as a centre of commercial activity.
Spend the day at leisure after the long flight. Alternately you can walk the streets of Fort Cochin. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2 - COCHIN

After breakfast proceeds for city tour of Cochin.
During the tour with your well experienced guide, you will visit The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, known for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana, The Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church - the oldest European church in India and built by the Portuguese in 1557 and The Chinese fishing nets.

Day 3 - COCHIN / MUNNAR

After breakfast drive 4 hrs to Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala. Munnar is situated near the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. It is breathtakingly beautiful and a haven of peace and tranquillity is the idyllic tourist destination in what is known as God's own country.
Arrive Munnar and check into your hotel for overnight.

Day 4 - MUNNAR

After breakfast excursion to Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. On arrival hike into the national park to have a closed view of the Nilgiri Tahr.

On return we will visit to tea gardens and the tea manufacturing units. Afternoon free to explore the beautiful hill station, once a famous summer destination of the British rule. Overnight at Munnar

Day 5 - MUNNAR / KUMARAKOM / HOUSEBOAT

After Breakfast drive to 4 hrs Kumarakom.
Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and is part of the Kuttanad region. An enchanting backwater destination, Kumarakom offers visitors many other leisure options. One can also visit the bird sanctuary here spread across 14 acres. Egrets, darters, herons, teals, waterfowls, cuckoo, wild ducks and the migratory bird, Siberian Stork can be seen here. The panoramic backwaters here offer an ideal retreat to enjoy nature at its best.

On arrival check into the Kettuvallum Houseboat with a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your comfort which will cruise through the backwaters passing through the lakes and lagoons, rivers and the waterways. This is the best way to explore the villages and rural life. Enjoy the chirping of birds and occasional ripples in water and savor mouth-watering delicacies prepared in front of you by your Kitchen crew and cruise towards Vembanad Lake, the biggest lake in Kerala.

Day 6 - HOUSEBOAT

Explore the waterways of Kuttanad, the rice country of Kerala. During your cruise watch the riverside villages and the people doing their daily things. Spot the young ladies with their goats, the man casting a net into the cordoned off fish farms along the shallows and the waving children.
