Gir National Park is the only place where one can see the Asiatic lions apart from the African continent in its natural habitat. Gir National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary is an invaluable gem in the land of Gujarat. It is home to rare animal species like the desert cats, Python, Stripped Hyena, Chinkara, Jackal, leopards, and many more animals. It also houses around 300 species of birds and around 30 species of reptiles. Gujarat stands out as one of the most admired and blessed destinations in India. A cultural mix of many religions and the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi ‘Father of the Nation’.

Day 1 – Arrival/Mumbai

Meeting and assistance on arrival by Royal India Holidays Pvt Ltd representative and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 - Mumbai/Ahmadabad

Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Ahmadabad. On arrival check into Hotel. Afternoon city sightseeing of Ahmadabad. It is the largest city in the state of Gujarat. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 - Ahmadabad/Dasada (little Rann of Kutch)

After breakfast drive 3 hrs to Dasada. On arrival check into Hotel. Afternoon safari into the Little Rann of Kutch wildlife sanctuary to see the wild ass.

The Little Rann of Kutch offers exciting cross desert safaris, superb wildlife and colourful villages along the desert. The wild Ass is a strong animal and represents the horse tribe in India. The wildlife sanctuary also boasts of Ghudkhur that is not found anywhere in the world. Other animals include wolf, jackal, wild cats, blue bull and chinkara. Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4 - Dasada/Sasangir

After breakfast drive 5 hrs to Gir National Park. On arrival check into Hotel. Afternoon excursion to Gir National Park by jeep with naturalist.

Although the Sasangir Sanctuary was created in 1913, but it only got the status of the Gir National Park in 1965 only. Gir National Park houses about 300 Asiatic lions. At one point of time, the population had dipped and the lions were on the brink of extinction. But after 1980 the population is on the rise. This is the only place where the Asiatic lions can been seen in its natural habitat apart from African continent. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 5 - Sasangir

Morning and evening excursion by jeep with naturalist into the Gir National Park. Overnight at the lodge.

Morning and evening excursion by jeep with naturalist into the Gir National Park. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 7 - Sasangir/Rajkot/Mumbai/Departure

After breakfast drive 3 hrs to Rajkot to board flight to Mumbai. On arrival proceed to international airport for flight to onward destination.
